You will first visit, The Temple of the Tooth, the most Sacred Buddhist place of worship on the Island. There you will see the skills of ancient Kandyan artists at their best. Afterwards, we would like to suggest a hike to discover three more sacred Buddhist shrines. Firstly, the Ambakke Temple, which is filled with many wood sculptures which have taken inspiration from the Hindu Religion. Secondly, the Lankathilake temple, which is known throught the world for its breath-taking frescoes, rock carvings, and statues of Lord Buddha. Finally, the Gadaladeniya Temple is suggested for you to end your hike. At the end of the day, you will be able to witness, the glorious traditional dances that Kandy is known for.
