Upon having breakfast at the hotel, comes the second day of “golfing“ in Sri Lanka. Playing whole day or a half and exploring local market can be done today. Colombo has many souvenir stores from where you can buy gifts for your loved ones.

You can experience a scrumptious dinner preferably at a leading authentic sea food restaurant.

Upon breakfast at the hotel, the journey of 4hr. & 53 min. covering 270 km  starts to reach eastern port city of Trincomalee where the eagle golf links is situated in. Post lunch is allocated for the first round of golfing, probably for the front nine. The third  day of playing golf culminates with dinner at the hotel

Now having breakfast at the hotel should be treated a routine. You will  have the choice to continue and cover back nine of the Eagle golf  links course from morning. Afternoon can be utilized for sightseeing, recreational activities and spending time on the beach.

Dambulla is a historic city that twins with what is known as the world’s 8th wonder : Sigiriya lion rock. Total travel time will be approximately 1 hr. & 55 min. covering 106 KM. Dambulla is a historic city that twins with what is known as the world’s 8th wonder: Sigiriya Lion Rock. Climbing the Sigiriya lion rock and witnessing Dambulla Cave Temple can be done in the evening or next morning before leaving to Kandy.

Day 06 will commence with the journey to picturesque hill capital of the country Kandy and  Victoria golf club & resort .73 KM drive usually takes nearly 2 hours: visiting spice gardens, gem museums and silk shops en route is within the bounds of possibility. The second half of the day can be used for the city tour in historic Kandy city or teeing off at the course. 

A visit to the temple of tooth relic and nearby shrines during the scheduled daily rituals, witnessing evening cultural dances, couple of snapshots at the Arthur’s seat view point, a stroll  around the ancient lake are considered “Must Do” touristic activities when you are in Kandy. If opted to play the game, this can be done the next day.

Upon having breakfast at the club house, be ready with you golf gear and set forth to play. You will enjoy the panoramic and beautiful landscape of the golf courses which is in very much close proximity to the one of the largest water reservoirs in the country. It was named in honor of Her Majesty Queen Victoria; empress of the British empire.

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the next stop which is Nuwara Eliya hill station popularly  known as “Little England”. This is where the 19th Century Golf course is  located in. It is one of the oldest golf clubs in Sri Lanka and offers 18 holes. 

The experiences during the journey to Nuwara Eliya includes water falls, tea estates and factories and several ancient shrines as well as temples. Total journey is nearly 110 KM for 2 and ½ hours. 

First round of golf can be started in the afternoon session while the overnight stay in one of the villas/ rooms of the club is preferred by most of the golfers.

Being in the highest golf course in the country, you will experience morning mist and ample cool breeze. Full day is allocated to enjoy playing golf to cover the full course of the Nuwara Eliya golf club.

After breakfast a 4 hr. & 30 minute journey is set to take our guests down to one of the world famous  sanctuaries , namely Yala which houses several number of endemic wild life, especially the leopards and elephants. Hence, A wild life safari is a must. The journey is via one of the smallest touristic towns in the world viz “Ella” but its popularity is much bigger than its size. From a visit to an old nine arch bridge to engaging in much adventurous “Flying Ravana “ zip line are among the valued experiences that can be gained in Ella. The Safari to the wild in Yala can either be done in the evening or early morning the next day.

The 9th Day will mark check in at the hotel in Hambantota and start playing golf under the tropical sun. This is an international 18 hole golf course inside a world class resort: Shangri la – Hambantota.

We will take you along the southern coastal belt passing several coastal towns and cities. Visiting the old Dutch fort in Galle and getting the palm read by a soothsayer or seeing many centauries old architecture of the fort, early morning adventurous whale watching expedition, a snapshot with stilt fishermen are some of the activities in Galle which are known to be popular among tourists.

Bentota has many things to offer. It is just 70 KM away from Galle towards Colombo. On the way to Bentota, viewing coral reefs in Hikkaduwa, visiting a turtle hatchery, a boat ride in the Madu river through the mangroves and witnessing Geoffrey Bawa’s Lunuganga cinnamon estate & bungalow are recommended. 

It should be mentioned that Bentota is reputed for water sports in the river and almost all the hotels in the arear entertain the guests with live music and encourage revelling!

Activities which have been drawn to the bucket list and were not covered the previous day can be done on the 14th day. However, best would be to chill out and enjoy the resort whole day.
