Itinerary Plan

Arrival / Negombo

Today is your first day in Sri Lanka. Upon welcoming by our representative at the Bandaranayke international Airport, You will be accompanied to Negombo for your first night stay. You shall relax and enjoy the touristic atmosphere of Negombo which is popular for its beach, sea food, spas, and hustle and bustle.

Seeing early morning hive of activities at the fish market ,Visit to Muthurajawela mash , a boat ride in the old Dutch Cannel and paying homage to centuries old churches in the city are worth attempting to do .

Over Night stay – Negombo

Negombo / Wilpattu / Anuradhapura

On your second day you will be leaving to Wilpattu national park which is famous leopards, sloth bears, endemic birds and reptiles. A jeep safari at Willpattu is too good to miss.

If you love to experience a night stay at a camping site at Wilpattu , you shall do so or we will take you to Anurdhapura an ancient city where you will witness ancient ruins.

Overnight stay – Wilpattu /Anuradhapura

Anuradhapura / Habarana

On your day 03, after breakfast, you shall continue exploring the ancient city Anurdhapura in the morning hour’s .Then, we would like to take you to Habarana where you will be able to take a ride on an elephant back and immerse in a natural environment. A trek in the Hiriwadunna village will let you get a firsthand experience of the rural Sri Lankan life style. A boat ride in a man – made reservoir, Hop on bullock cart and meal on a lotus petal will surely amaze you!!!

Meantime, do not forget to treat yourself with an Ayurvedhic massage by a professional ayurvedhic therapist.

Overnight stay – Habarana

Habarana / Minneriya / Polonnaruwa / Habarana

Have your breakfast at the Hotel, and get ready to go to Minneriya National park to see to yourself oodles of elephants. Amongst many things to experience, a visit to Polonnaruwa- an ancient kingdom abundant with ruins, shrines and huge man – made lakes – is worth considering.

Habarana / Sigiriya / Kandy

Soon after early breakfast, we will take you to climb the world famous lion rock which is one of the wonders in the world and UN world heritage site. If you are in Sri Lanka it is a must visit historical location.

During the afternoon you will precede to Kandy- the hill capital of Sri Lanka - with a visit to an authentic spice garden where you can learn about and experience indigenous Ayurvedhic treatment methods.

Kandy /Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then we will guide you to the sacred temple of tooth relic which is a world known Buddhist heritage. The morning rituals at the most sacred temple will expose the ancient Buddhist practices and you may probably spend time admiring the paintings and sculptures there!!!

Visit to botanical is followed by the visit to the temple. After lunch start your journey to Nuwara Eliya which is known as “Little England” for its colonial environment and cool climes.

En route to Nuwara Eliya, you will spend some time viewing waterfalls and visiting a tea estate.

Hortain Plains / Nuwara Eliya

On day 07 , You will be taken to Horton plains which is a popular place for nature lovers .Your camera will be busy at work as you want to capture many scenic pictures as you walk across the Horton plains and reach the “ world’s End”- a cliff which marks the end of the Horton plains.

In the evening go for a boat ride at Gregory Lake and relax sipping your favorite spirit.

Nuwara Eliya to Rathnapura via Kithulgala

Today, you will go to the city of gems via Kithulgala. Kithulgala is known for adventure water sports such as white water rafting. Rathnapura is synonymous with gems .Hence you can visit a gem museum, a gem lapidary and experience gem mining.

Over nigh stay - Rathnapura/Sinharaja

Rathnapura / Sinharaja rain forest

Whole of the 9th Day is allocated to trek the Sinharaja rain forest which is the home for both endemic fauna and flora. It will take a full day for fruitful excursion. Another day wherein your camera will be busy at work.

Rathnapura / Udawalawe

Leaving Rathnapura , you will reach Udawalawe and join a jeep safari in the sprawling Udawalawe National Park which has a large population of mammals and birds including elephants , sambars and bears .Udawalawe is a small town which is the entry point to the Udawalawa National park which is renowned for its high population of wild Asian elephants . It is the closest national park to Colombo. Sprawling Udawalawa reservoir which is the third largest is another major attraction in the area.

Udawalawa / Yala

Today we will take you to Yala national park where there is high density of wild life. Yala is a natural park which houses all types of fauna and flora which are endemic in the dry zone. . This park is extremely famous for its Leopard population. You will be able to witness one napping on a rock or tree, or maybe even visiting a waterhole. This site is also great for bird lovers, as it has a rather respectable population of birds.

Guided Jeep safari at Yala is something too good to miss!!!!

Overnight stay - Yala or Tissamamharama.

Yala / Ahangama

On day 12 your journey will be alongside the southern coastal belt of the country.
Hence, you will have different Beach stay options as you are travelling through the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka. Tangalle, Unawatuna, Mirrissa, Galle, Hikkaduwa, Benotota are some of the beaches which are very popular amongst the tourists .Indulgence in authentic sea food ,a boat ride on the sea or river waters , experiencing fishing ,whale or dolphin watching are all possible around the golden coast.

Therefore, leave some time for relaxing on the golden - sand beaches.

Overnight stay – Ahangama

As you are in Ahangama, you will be able to engage in an excursion leading to whale watching which a unique experience is a tourist can come across. The old fortress city Galle is not far from Ahangama , hence we recommend a visit to Galle where one may admire the fortress and its old ramparts . A meal at a restaurant in Galle or Unwatuna will allow you to taste fresh sea food for which Sri Lanka is very well known. Ahangama is centrally located with easy access to many tourist attractions.

Colombo

Just a day before your departure, we will take you to capital Colombo where you will be able to indulge in shopping, night life and experience Sri Lankan urban life. Likewise, the city by the sea – Colombo - offers many a historical sites such as the Museum , Dutch built churches , The independence square and so on which are well immersed in urban architecture.

We are going to say good bye!!! So get ready to go to the Airport and we will not be surprised to learn that you have fallen in Love with Sri Lanka.
